Hi everyone,
Thank you to all who attended the Spring Retreat and participated in the mini-concert at the Seymour Center. I hope everyone enjoyed the day filled with fun, great music-making, wonderful food, and sharing our repertoire with members of the Orange County community. Special shout-out to Kinley for making all the arrangements and for letting us all meet Baby Juniper! And many thanks to everyone who helped set up and clean up as well as schlepping the stands and boxes to our venues.

Spring Banquet/Listening Party – Monday, May 11th at The FARM from 6:30-9:30PM
Music: If you are not singing with us at our Spring Concert, please return all of your music to Marsha at the end of your last rehearsal. Marsha will bring a crate to rehearsal where you can place your music. If she is not there, please give your music to Karla.

Note that we were unable to find candidates for the Vice President and a Fund Development Chair will also need to be appointed.
Community Outreach Fund: For this concert, we have selected The Learning Trail, for our Community Outreach Fund and Kidznotes for our Negro Spirituals Royalties Project. Please see the attachment for more information. If you would like to support either Kidznotes or The Learning Trail, you can place donations in the “In reach” box located on the back table or donate on our webpage. Please indicate which organization you want to support, or your donation will be split evenly between the two. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Concert Tickets: All ticket money and unsold tickets are due Monday, April 27. Please take a moment to read through the attached PDF describing our ticketing process, and if you have additional questions, please contact Allison Mangin (allisonmangin@gmail.com).
Concert Guest special needs: A reminder: please send Kinley an email (kinley.russell@gmail.com) if you have a guest attending who needs special accommodation. We can reserve parking and/or seats for them and the rest of their party.
Spring Banquet: The Spring Banquet/Listening Party is always a fun event where we share great conversation, great food (catered and contributed), reflect on the year, and listen to our concert recording. I hope everyone will be able to join us. Please RSVP by Monday, April 27th to let us know if you are planning to attend so that we can prepare appropriately.
Monday, May 11, 6:30-9:00pm at the FARM Clubhouse, (Building #11) located at 1 Alice Ingram Circle, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. If you are unfamiliar with this venue, please consult the map in the link below (Map-of-the-Farm). Mediterranean Deli will partially cater the meal, providing vegetarian and gluten-free options. Please feel free to bring drinks and desserts to share (these will not be provided by the caterer). Please sign up and/or make your contributions by Monday, April 27th. The cost of the catering is $27 per person. We are suggesting a contribution of $20 per person, but please pay what you can even if that’s $0. There will be a box on the back table at rehearsals for cash/check donations or you can pay via Square, or Venmo (@WomensVoicesChorus). If you would like to bring drinks or desserts instead of or in addition to contributing (these will not be provided by the caterer) you can sign up here. Thank you!

Volunteers Needed: Kinley is looking for three non-chorus volunteers to assist with the Spring Concert on Saturday, May 2nd: 1) Will Call attendant, 2) Two parking attendants to prevent patrons from parking at the adjacent shelter and another to direct patrons to the additional lot. These volunteers should be older teens or adults, and they will receive a free ticket to attend the concert. If you know someone who can help, please let Kinley know. Thank you.
