Great rehearsal last night! Thanks for all of your hard work. The concert is gonna be amazing.  If there are any questions or comments, please email me (Karla) directly (kmkbyrnes@gmail.com). A few notes for the remainder of this week:

The tech rehearsal and concert are in the sanctuary at Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ERUUF), 4907 Garrett Rd, Durham, NC 27707. A campus map is available here.

Tech Rehearsal:

  • 7-10pm on Wednesday, May 1. Please be in your spot ready to sing at 7pm.
  • Black folders and scarves will be available to borrow at the rehearsal.
  • If you have not turned in your unsold tickets and ticket money, please bring on Wednesday and give them to Allison.

Concert:

  • Call time is 1:30pm on Saturday, May 4. Please be in your spot ready to warm up by then.
  • After our warmups and run-through of a few things we will go to our green room in the fellowship hall. Purses, keys, phones, etc can be stored in the choir director’s office by the music room. The office will be locked during the concert.
  • Immediately after the concert and before you greet your guests, please return your music and any borrowed black folders and scarves (in the zip top baggie). This will likely be set up in the music room, but we will confirm on Wednesday.
  • Concert Dress– As a reminder, concert dress is all black, from collar to toe, including shoes and socks:
    • Black tops (3/4 length sleeves or longer; modest neckline) – no beads, sequins, netting, lace, velvet, etc. – just plain black
    • Black floor-length dress pants or skirts (no patterns, velvet, ruffles, or tiers).
    • Black opaque socks/stockings/tights and black closed-toe shoes.
    • No necklaces, dangling earrings (post earrings only), or flamboyant accessories.
    • No perfume or other scents (natural or unnatural). Many people have allergies and exposure to certain scents affects their ability to sing, especially for the length of a performance.
    • Scarves are to be worn around your neck, loose or tied however you choose.
    • Masks: If you choose to wear a mask during the performance, it must be all black. We have a limited supply of black masks if needed in our supply box. See Marsha or Kinley.

Special Needs: Last call for any special seating, parking, or other needs for you or your guests. Let Kinley know (kinley.russell@gmail.com).

Survey: Thanks to those of you who have completed the survey! The link will be sent again in the Sunday announcements. There are a few questions dealing with the upcoming concert, so feel free to wait until next week to respond.

Spring Banquet: Monday, May 6, 6:30-9:00pm at the FARM Clubhouse. (Building 11 on this map) located at 1 Alice Ingram Circle, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. If you would like to bring drinks or desserts or help with setup or cleanup you can sign up here.

See you all tomorrow!!
