Hi everyone,

I hope that everyone has been able to stay safe and warm as the storm has moved through our area.  I am grateful that it was much less impactful than was anticipated and that we are slated to have a week of sunshine ahead.  I am hopeful that with higher temperatures, the ice will melt and that we will be able to have our concert on Saturday.  We will keep you posted via email with any updates during the week.

Concert Currently Rescheduled for Saturday, January 31: Winter Concert at First Presbyterian Church; 1:30 Call 3PM. Please share the enews with your guests.

Venue parking for concert: All chorus members who do not need to park close to the door for mobility reasons should park in the Law Office Parking Lot (orange).

Carpooling: The easiest way for us to alleviate parking concerns is to carpool, either with other chorus members or with your guests who are attending the concert. If your guests are not helping out as concert volunteers, they might be able to drop you off for our call time at 1:30 and return themselves around 2:30. As a reminder, you can find chorus members who live near you using the carpooling map.

Concert Dress: As a reminder, we wear all black for our concert dress. Tops should be plain and have ¾ length sleeves (to elbow) or longer, bottoms can be plain pants or floor-length skirts (no ruffles, velvet, sequins, etc.). You are asked to wear black socks or tights to cover any exposed skin on your legs for a uniform look. Please do not wear any perfume or products with a strong smell. Check your concert clothing now to make sure that it is washed/ironed as needed before the concert. Don’t forget to bring your teal scarf.

Green room location/locked or unlocked: We will use the choir room as a “green room” at the concert. This is on the second floor after you exit the sanctuary via the chapel. The door will be locked, so we will all place our valuables in that room and lock it before we go in for the concert.

Folders/music return process: At the end of the concert, you will be able to return borrowed folders and sheet music in the hallway by the choir room. When we file off stage following the concert, go to the choir room first to return all these items. Then you can go to the lobby to greet your guests.

Lost/forgotten tickets: If one of your guests loses or forgets to bring their ticket to the concert, don’t stress. Let them know that they can just go to the box office table and tell them that they’ve forgotten their ticket and we will get them sorted out.

Guest special needs: A reminder: please send me an email if you have a guest attending who needs special accommodations. We can reserve parking and/or seats for them and the rest of their party.

Standing Arrangement & Movement at Concert: The concert standing arrangements may have changed a little since our technical rehearsal since a few singers can no longer sing in the concert. Please be flexible as needed!

Hope to see you on Saturday when we can share this program with the community.

Stay warm, be safe!!
