Hello Everyone,
Happy ‘made it to the fold’ rehearsal. Woot woot! We have made tremendous progress this month – BRAVA! It’s such a joy to lead WVC rehearsals – y’all fill my heart and it is so much fun to make music together.
As we accomplish the pitches and rhythms, we will be able to focus on text (meaning, consonant clarity, and vowel unification), articulation, dynamics and phrasing…and always intonation and ensemble unity. So we are laying the groundwork now to be able to take a deep dive before too long.
Happy Collaborative Pianist Day to Deb (September 18th) – our QUEEN. I know we are all so appreciative of everything Deb gives to WVC.
Apologies to the people on Zoom. I looked over and saw a black screen on my laptop and tried to turn it back on but no luck. It’s working fine now so I think perhaps we had it plugged into an outlet that was not live (It’s not an outlet we usually use) and the battery drained down.

– make note of whether you sing nah or n. The n is a closed sound. The nah has an open vowel. Several singers are hearing open nahs when there are ns so let’s pay attention to that.
