Concert Dress: Concert dress is all black, from collar to toe: Black tops (3/4 length sleeves or longer) – no beads, sequins, netting, lace, velvet, etc. Black floor-length dress pants or skirts (no patterns, velvet, ruffles, or tiers). Black opaque stockings/tights/socks and black closed-toe shoes. No necklaces, dangling earrings (post earrings only), or flamboyant accessories. No perfume or other scents. Many people have allergies and exposure to certain scents affects their ability to sing. We also wear solid-colored scarves during our concerts. Scarves are to be worn around your neck, loose or tied however you choose, but please remember that some colors are reserved for the winter and others for the spring. You may purchase your scarves for $10 each or borrow them from WVC. If you borrow a scarf, it should be returned immediately after the concert in the Ziploc bag provided. WVC black folders will be available to borrow at our first technical rehearsal.
Community Outreach Fund/Negro Spirituals Royalties Project: You can donate to Families Moving Forward (FMF) as part of our Community Outreach Fund or to Kidznotes as part of our Negro Spirituals Royalties Project. You can donate via our website by selecting Donate under the Support WVC tab, using Square or Venmo, and specifying FMF or Kidznotes in the notes. You can also donate at rehearsal; we will have boxes available to accept checks or cash. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Reminder about Tech Rehearsals:
Monday, April 28th at HTLC from 7-10PM

Concert Volunteers: We are looking for non-chorus members who can volunteer to serve as ushers for our May concert (Children >13yo, family members, friends). If you know of anyone who can help, please give Kinley their information. As always, we will need chorus members to help set-up and clean-up on concert day. Thank you in advance for helping out.
Reserved Accessible Seating & Parking for the Concert: If you have guests attending our spring concert who have mobility concerns, please send Kinley an email (kinley.russell@gmail.com) with their needs along with the names of individuals who will need to be seated together. We can reserve seating with room for a wheelchair, on the end of a row, near the door, etc. A small number of designated handicap accessible parking spots are available; we can reserve additional parking spots near the entrance for those who want to be sure they can park by the door.
