Spring Registration
Thanks to all of you! We’ve got a count for Spring semester. We will be holding auditions on the evening of January 24. Laura Sam will be sending audition information. Let folks know who might like to join us! We will accept both in person and Zoom auditioners!
Concert Postponement
The Board met tonight and reluctantly came to the same decision as other choral groups in the area with January concert dates. We feel that we need to cancel the concert for two reasons: 1. We are currently unable to have a rehearsal with our full choir because of health concerns. We are uncertain as to who will actually be able to sing on our original concert date and so cannot count on a balanced choir. 2. We are concerned about the health of both our singers and our audience, as our concert date has been projected to be the peak of the pandemic in NC.
We plan to retain the current music and add additional music with plans for a more normal length concert in May.
We will rehearse as usual in person and on Zoom on both Monday, January 10 and Monday, January 17, but not on Monday, May 24, since we will be holding auditions.
We will NOT hold the alto sectional on January 10th.
Semester 2 Plans
Spring semester which will begin on Monday, January 31. We anticipate continuing to hold rehearsals at Binkley 7:30p-8:45p with sectionals from 9:00-9:30p. Zoom will also be available for anyone that can’t attend in-person. We have tentatively scheduled the retreat for March 5 and the concert on Sunday, May 1. More details to follow.
We will be getting additional music on January 31 that is in keeping with the theme of current concert material. Since most singers are well on their way to learning the music we have already received, we are confident that the group can help new members catch on fairly easily.

I understand the disappointment in having to postpone our concert, but feel strongly that the Board has made the best possible decision under the circumstances. I look forward to singing with you on Monday evening!
