Hello Everyone,

I enjoyed our rehearsal last night and was grateful for BOTH Internet and electricity for the entire rehearsal (electrician is coming out to check our breaker box – until then, fingers crossed!).

If you missed us, please know that we missed you! Here is the link to the rehearsal.

I most definitely recommend that you watch Deb’s Dishin’ segment and her helpful advice of score mapping (thank you, Deb!) and the final 1/2 hour to hear Jacke Walter’s Red Cross presentation. It was so inspiring to hear of Jackie and her mother’s work as well as all of the wonderful people who work and volunteer for the Red Cross. THANK YOU Jackie for enriching our rehearsal and for your inspiration…and most of all for your lifetime of dedicated service with the Red Cross.

Once again, awesome job on the A Path to Each Other recordings. Loved, loved, loved hearing you sing. Angels of Mercy recordings are due on 10/19/20. Wear a solid black or red top for this recording, please. Contact your section leader or me if you have any other questions – all of the necessary information is posted on our website (thank you, Karla!). I am really looking forward to this very special project.

10/19 Rehearsal Focus:

Rise and Stand (check out the website for Rise and Stand recordings!)

Snow Angel – sing through all 5 movements (for real this time!).

Sectionals: (S1, S2, A1, A2)

Snow Angel

We will sing until around 9 PM with a short break before our Snow Angel sing through.

Our final 30 minutes will be a chance to brainstorm ideas about our Angel Gallery.

10/26 Rehearsal Focus:

Rise and Stand (last rehearsal before recordings are due 11/2

Snow Angel (I will wait to hear feedback from the section leaders regarding our progress on 10/19 before planning this portion of the rehearsal)

I’m attending a session tomorrow organized by the Duke Voice Care Center – Singing Voice Health During COVID-19 and Beyond – and will report back on what I learn.

Cheers!
Laura
