Hi everyone,
Reminders: East Rosemary Street between Columbia Street and Henderson Street will be closed to through traffic for the next two weeks. Please plan accordingly.
· Laura is traveling this week and will not be at rehearsal.
· There will NOT be a mixed sectional tomorrow night and
· Kay and Deb will be leading rehearsal
Pecan Sales: Pecan orders will be available for pick up tomorrow night. Thank you for your support. Proceeds from the Pecan Sales will replenish funds designated for future Tours.
Table Sale: Thank you to everyone who participated in the Table Sale last week. Through all your efforts, we raised $429.04 toward the purchase of the additional risers and handrails. There will be at least one more Table Sale in the Spring semester and we plan to once again have an online option (now that all of the kinks have been worked out). Thank you, Julianne!
Funds Raised – Attached is the graphic displaying the funds raised as of 11/30/2024
Holiday Party: At the end of rehearsal on December 16th, we will be having a winter social to enjoy each other’s company before the end of the year. Holiday attire (tacky or otherwise) is encouraged! Please bring a snack or a non-alcoholic beverage to share. Thank you.
Program Ads: Please consider approaching vendors you know well and asking them to support the arts in this way; it allows them to get their message to our loyal audience and brings our name into the community. Prices and procedures have not changed from last year; the forms are available on the WVC website “Store” page, here. The deadline to submit ads is December 20th.
Shout-out X 2: This week I would like to recognize TWO members of WVC who have gone above and beyond on our behalf: Julianne Vance (S1) who volunteered to lead these efforts and introduced the on-line option which will allow us to expand offerings beyond our membership and Sue Gidwitz (A1) for being the sole volunteer to help Diane and Darcy pack up the pecan orders for delivery tonight. Thank you both for your support of WVC!
Concert Volunteers Needed: Kinley is looking for volunteers to help with Box Office, House Management, and Ushering for our January concert. Teenagers are welcome to help as ushers, but we will need adults for the Box Office and House Management. If you have a family member or friend attending the concert who can help, please email Kinley at kinley.russell@gmail.com. Thank you in advance for your help.
Birthdays: Tomorrow night we will celebrate members having birthdays in the month of December: Rebecca Bruening (12/2), Jan French (12/27), Kay Johnson (12/28) and Sue Regier (12/31)
Zoom: If you need to attend rehearsal via Zoom, please remember to let Laura, your section leader and membership liaison know. Tomorrow night’s Zoom link is for this rehearsal only since Laura is traveling. You can join the Zoom Rehearsals here. Meeting ID: 937 7884 2616.
See you tomorrow night
Janet
