Singers,
1) Memorization: Quick reminder – Now Let Me Fly is due tomorrow and The Valley on December 9.
The following announcements are repeats:
2) Strategic Plan Update: The Board completed our assessment of WVC strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) last week. We are now in the process of interviewing music leaders and other contributors who have helped build our success. Some of these interviews may be held on Monday’s during breaks. The interviews will be completed by Dec 1. The chorus survey will follow in January.
3) Ticket Sales: Tickets for our winter concert will be distributed at rehearsal by Membership Liaisons. Allison Mangin (S2) is our Ticket Manager and can answer questions you have about ticket sales.
1.Each member receives 5 tickets to sell. You may request more tickets at any rehearsal (if possible, please let Allison know ahead of time).
2.You will receive 1 comp ticket for each 5 tickets you sell.
3.Mark the type of ticket sold on both the ticket and stub. Do not tear the stub.
4.Checks should be made out to Women’s Voices Chorus.
5.Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more.
6.You may return money and/or unsold tickets in your ticket envelope to Allison or your Membership Liaison at any rehearsal. Please mark your envelope with the number of tickets sold and the amount enclosed in
the spaces provided.
7.All unsold tickets and money are due on Monday, January 13.
4) Concert Program: It’s time to start beating the bushes for concert program ads. Soliciting concert ads is an easy and profitable way to help Women’s Voices. Generally you will get the best response from a local business that you support, or one where you have a personal connection. Selling points are that the ads are very reasonable and it’s a captive audience. At times a chorus member has purchased an ad for a business that she wants to support, thereby benefiting two birds with one check. An ad could be a nice gift for your favorite non-profit or someone you know trying to start up a business.
