Hi everyone,

I hope everyone has enjoyed this week’s beautiful weather as the Fall colors are peaking.

Soprano Sectional:  The Soprano 1s and Soprano 2s are having sectionals tomorrow at 6:45 PM; Soprano 1s in the regular rehearsal space and Soprano 2s in the choir room in the church across the street from our regular rehearsal space (someone will be there to direct you if needed).  If there is a particular section you would like to review, please come prepared with your questions.

Run-out or Mini Concert Next Week:  Due to Holy Trinity being a polling site, our November 4th rehearsal will be a “run-out concert” at the Efland Baha’i Center located at 119 Maple Street in Efland, NC. Please arrive a little early so we can begin on time. We will perform a selection of our repertoire for their community followed by our regular rehearsal. This is a great opportunity to sing through selected works and share our progress with members of the community.

Pecan SalesAll pecan orders for the November 11th delivery are due next week on November 4th. The process for placing orders includes collecting orders and payment from friends/family on the Friends and Family formYour customers will pay YOU and NOT WVC directly. We recently received a payment from a non-chorus member, but we don’t know who took the order, so we don’t know what she ordered or how to get the order to her. Once your Friends and Family form has been completed, you will fill out the Consolidated Order Form, give it to Diane Wold, and pay with Venmo, Square, check, or cash. All orders must be submitted by November 4th for delivery on November 11th or December 2nd for delivery on December 9th. We thank you for your support. Proceeds from the Pecan Sales will replenish funds designated for future Tours.

E-news:  You should have received the Fall e-news via email detailing our Fall retreat, Winter concert, and our chosen Community Outreach organization, Voices in the Laurel.  This can be easily forwarded to friends and family to provide an update on our activities and serve to advertise our concert in January.  Please help to spread the word! Special thanks to Trisha for creating the e-news.

Volunteer Needed:  We are looking for a volunteer to be the Concert Program Ad Manager.  The tasks for this position are to maintain a list of concert program advertisers, recruit volunteers to procure ads/tributes for the concert programs, collect and deliver payments to the Treasurer, and provide all information needed to the layout person.  We typically raise about $2,200 selling ads or tributes for our program.  This position will be for the full year (both Winter and Spring concerts).  We have all of the materials needed organized and ready to go.  If you are interested in this role, please let me know as soon as possible or contact Sarah Town directly at pedritasf@yahoo.com. Thank you in advance for your help.

Zoom: If you need to attend rehearsal via Zoom, please remember to let Laura, your section leader and membership liaison know. You can join the Zoom Rehearsals here. Meeting ID: 858 3293 4624; Password: 121074.

See you tomorrow night 😊

Janet
