Upcoming Fundraising Events:

Pecan Sales: WVC will be selling Pecans and Pecan Candies as a fundraiser!  If you are a baker, you know a baker, or you just like pecans, consider buying them through WVC to help us raise funds for the chorus. Once again, we are ordering from Elizabeth’s Pecan Products — from a farm established in 1981 by a USN captain, called Capt’n Bundy’s Pecan Farm, in Turkey, NC. They sell it to us wholesale, with no taxes or shipping costs to pay, so we will get a nice amount from each unit sold. Plus, we’ll all get some delicious food for our holiday celebrations! Please visit the fundraising page of our website for all of the information (you must be logged in as a Member). The process for placing orders includes collecting orders and payment from friends/family on the Friends and Family form (attached) (they pay you NOT WVC directly), deliver a completed Consolidated Order Form (attached) to Diane Wold and pay with Venmo, Square, check or cash. All orders must be submitted by November 4th for delivery on November 11th or December 2nd for delivery on December 9th. Please consider purchasing items for yourself or as gifts to support Women’s Voices Chorus. If you have any questions, please see Diane Wold. Thank you for your support.

Table Sales: On three Mondays during the season, we will hold sales of various items on the tables at the back of our rehearsal space. Sales will take place before rehearsal (7:00 – 7:30) and during the break. Members are encouraged to bring items to sell, as well as money to spend (Venmo accepted)! Table Sales this year will be going directly towards new handrails for our concert risers.  The first Table Sale will be on December 2nd, themed as our Holiday Market! This marketplace will be a great place for all members to shop for their loved ones for the holiday season. Recommended items include: handmade crafts/artwork, jewelry, holiday decorations, winter accessories (gloves, hats, scarves, etc.), and extra wrapping paper. Recommended food items: classic holiday treats (cookies, cupcakes, loaves, etc.)

A new spin on this year’s table sales will also include an online catalogue! Our hope is that this will allow further access and shopping time for members and family and friends of members. A week before the sale, the online catalogue will be shared with instructions on how to shop and how items will be retrieved. More information will be shared on this, and an example of what to expect can be found on the Fundraising page in the Members dropdown menu on the WVC website. If you have any questions, please see Julianne Vance (S1).

Shout-out:  This week I would like to recognize Diane Wold.  In addition to singing with the S2s, Diane serves as the Secretary on the WVC Board and has enthusiastically taken on the challenge of organizing and implementing our Pecan Sales this year to begin to replenish our Tour Fund. Thank you, Diane, for all that you do for WVC!  We appreciate you.

Zoom: If you need to attend rehearsal via Zoom, please remember to let Laura, your section leader and membership liaison know. You can join the Zoom Rehearsals here. Meeting ID: 858 3293 4624; Password: 121074.

See you tomorrow night 😊
