Chamber Choir auditions tomorrow night at 9:30PM
Welcome Back Social: THIS SATURDAY! Please plan to join us for a Welcome Back Picnic Social on Saturday, 9/26/26, from 11 am- 2pm, at Forest Hills Park in Durham (1639 University Drive, Durham, NC 27707). Families are invited to join us during this event! Please RSVP using the following link before Thursday, September 24th. When you RSVP, please indicate in the comments if you will be having a Beef burger or a Veggie burger. If RSVP’ing for multiple people, please indicate for your whole group. There is a suggested donation of $5 per attendee and there will be a collection box on the back table at rehearsal for cash or check donations. You can also use Square (https://womens-voices-chorus.square.site/) or Venmo (@WomensVoicesChorus) to donate, with the memo “Picnic.”
Community Outreach Fund: It’s time to share your suggestions for the Community Outreach Fund for this semester. As we do every semester, the Inclusion and Outreach Committee would like to ask all of you to suggest local nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with our theme, in this case, About Time. The committee will narrow down the suggestions to three, and all chorus members will then vote to choose one organization at the Fall Retreat on October 17th. We will then invite donations from our members as well as our audience at the winter concert. There is one change moving forward: we will no longer solicit donations from the audience and membership for two separate organizations. When we sing spirituals, we will donate $100 from our I&O budget to a chosen organization for the Negro Spirituals Royalties Project (see Chorus Handbook, p11, for more information), and all donated money will go to the organization we vote on. Please submit your donation suggestions using this form by Saturday October 10. Thank you!

Allison has been responsible for concert tickets for many years and recently volunteered to take over the administration of Salesforce, the platform WVC uses to keep track of our mailing list and membership.
