Dear Sisters,
What an amazing performance yesterday! Thank you to everyone who played a part in making it happen, especially Laura, Deb, and Kinley. If you receive ‘reviews’ of our concert from friends and family, please send them to Anne Menkens (ajmenkens@yahoo.com) or Sarah Town (pedritasf@yahoo.com). It is great to include feedback from our audience members in grants and advertisements.
AND thank you to everyone for getting their music turned in. That is a huge help and much appreciated!
There were a few items left behind at the concert venue. See attached picture. Kinley will bring them to the banquet tomorrow night.
Spring Banquet: Monday, May 6, 6:30-9:00pm at the FARM Clubhouse. (Building 11 on this map) located at 1 Alice Ingram Circle, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. We will enjoy dinner together, listen to our spring concert, and celebrate our achievements over the past year. If you’d still like to bring drinks or desserts or help with setup or cleanup you can sign up here. Hope to see you there!
Survey: At the end of each season, the WVC Board sends out a survey to the membership as a means to get your feedback about music, rehearsals, performances, funding, resources, and social opportunities. The survey is designed to take between 10-15 minutes. The Board uses this information to make important decisions about our upcoming season so please take the time to complete the survey BEFORE Sunday, May 12th. You can access the survey here: https://forms.gle/MDnfYhUW2GnXTYCV8
Note from the Diversity Committee: WVC tries to avoid rehearsing on federal holidays, but because of the way our schedule works in January, it has been very difficult to avoid rehearsing on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Since it is part of WVC’s mission to “foster a climate of purposeful inclusion” for all of our singers, the Diversity Committee would like to recommend that we find a way to honor MLK Day by not rehearsing. As we find a way forward, the board would like to know how members feel about this, so there is a question on the end-of-year survey about the issue.
