The Fund Development and Vice President positions will be open for appointment. Please let anyone on the board know if you are interested or would like more information.
Inperson Rehearsal – Information & Survey Response Request
Yes, you will need a mask if you would like to join in our in person rehearsal. Thanks to Brenda Edwards for the links to two possible specialized singer’s mask choices (see below.) Both are comfortable for singing, not especially attractive and more expensive than the average mask. It’s your choice, – You may use any good mask.
We will be holding our in person rehearsal on April 19 at the Won Buddism Temple, 8021 Old NC 86 Chapel Hill NC 27516. All members are welcome to either the inperson rehearsal or the Zoom rehearsal, regardless of original survey responses. Please complete the attached survey to help get a more accurate (though not perfect) count. We understand that situations can change and you are welcome to come if you said you couldn’t and not come if you said you would come.
Facilities
1. There is ample parking. You will need to walk about 100′ from the parking area to the singing area.
2. The facility has a covered roof, and open sides for ventilation.
3. There Is a raised platform for the director and the accompanist.
4. Bathroom facilities while available, would be a building away from our rehearsal space.
5. We will be using a generator for lights. (The building is wired for electricity, but it is not turned on.)
6. The space has great acoustics for singing!
The Rehearsal
1. We would be able to have 30 singers and still keep a good 15+ feet apart.
2. Singers would need to be masked.
3. Laura Delauney will lead the rehearsal and Deb Hollis will provide piano accompaniment.
4. The rehearsal would last no more than 45 minutes.
5. If you are physically able and would like a chair, you will need to bring it..
6. A simultaneous zoom rehearsal would take place for those who would prefer a zoom rehearsal. The outside rehearsal would revert to a regular zoom rehearsal for all in the case of high winds or moderate or heavier rain.
