Hi Everyone,
I so enjoyed watching the St. Patrick Day shenanigans last week. It looked like everyone had a great time! I am looking forward to singing with you tomorrow night.
Sectionals: Tomorrow night we will have Sectionals at 6:45PM in our regular rehearsal space for all Altos.
Community Outreach Fund: Thank you everyone for suggesting organizations for us to donate to this spring. The Diversity Committee would like to present these four organizations for your consideration:
- Families Moving Forward
- Interfaith Council (IFC) HomeStart
- The Green Chair Project
- World Relief Durham
We will vote tomorrow night at rehearsal to decide which organization to support. Take a look at the organizations by clicking on the links or reading the attached PDF. As a reminder, we will also support Kidznotes as part of the Negro Spirituals Royalties Project, and donors will be able to designate whether they would like their donations to support Kidznotes or the home-themed organization we choose tomorrow night.
Program Ads: Program ads (ad copy and payment) are due by April 5th! If you have not already, please reach out to local vendors to ask them to support the arts and get the word out about their business. Prices and procedures are included in the attached form and on WVC website “Buy Ads and Tributes” page, here. If you have any questions, please reach out to Rebecca Bruening (rebecca.bruening@gmail.com).
Spring Retreat: Our Spring Retreat and Mini-Concert will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, 9:30am – 4:00pm at Carolina Meadows, 100 Whippoorwill Ln, Chapel Hill, NC 27517 Important note – we will not have access to the kitchen during this retreat. Please take a moment to read through the attached PDF (I will attach it this time 😉) describing our ticketing process and if you have additional questions, please contact Allison Mangin (allisonmangin@gmail.com). Also, there are posters, postcards, and business cards for publicizing our upcoming concert on the front table. Please take them and hang them in local businesses, places of worship, etc to help fill the seats! The postcards can be mailed to family and friends.

Wendy works behind the scenes to communicate with section leaders and membership liaisons, makes sure everyone has their name tags, and plans our social events (Fall and Spring potlucks, listening parties and summer picnic). Thank you, Wendy, for all that you do!!
