Dear singers,
DECISION:
The WVC Board held a special web conference meeting this evening and have reluctantly and unanimously agreed to cancel our remaining rehearsals this semester as well as our concert. While we are grateful for our shared music, we believe that the health of our members and of the community is of even greater importance to us all.
RETURNING MUSIC, FOLDERS and TICKET ENVELOPES:
This Monday, March 16, we will have WVC volunteers in the HTLC parking lot by our usual practice location (the older building) from 6:45-7:45 to collect the following:
- Music (Put it in concert order if possible, if not possible, any order will do)
- Borrowed black folders
- Ticket envelopes
We will have boxes available, so you will only need to drop off these items. Remember that we have volunteers helping in all these areas and do your best to make their work as easy as possible. However, if you are unable to drop these off for any reason, we will contact you with another option for returning these items in the next week or so.
CONCERT TICKETS: Please return your ticket envelopes when you drop off music and folders. Any tickets that have been sold may be exchanged for tickets to the Winter 2021 concert, refunded or designated as a donation. For sold tickets, you may:
- Return the money you’ve collected to the person who bought the tickets.
- Turn the money in and provide contact info for the buyers (preferably an email address) and whether they would like an exchange, refund, or donation designation.
NOTE: We will be making similar offers to our advertisers.
Contracts and Financial Stability: The WVC Board has been conscientious in its financial planning. We want you to know that we are able to keep our financial commitments without endangering the financial stability of WVC, even with the loss of revenue from this concert.
Board Elections: You will be receiving a separate email from the Nominating Committee regarding elections for the upcoming year. Please look for this email.
Finally, the Board is working on the logistical details related to our cancellation. You will be getting the regular Sunday email announcements this week and in future weeks as needed.
Our sisterhood remains strong in these uncertain times. Please reach out to your Membership Liaison or anyone on the Board if you find yourself in need of assistance.
