Hello Everyone,
Thank you, one and all, for a wonderful concert yesterday afternoon. I loved making music with you all and thoroughly enjoyed sharing our music with our very receptive audience.
I wish you could have all heard what I was hearing from where I was standing – it was divine. I will treasure the experience. I am looking forward to listening with you at our listening party Monday night!
Mia sent me this email earlier with comments she heard post concert from her guests (16 – what a fan club!) and I don’t think she would object to me sharing them with you:
“Absolutely beautiful music and angelic voices”- Sue
“It was a great concert, and Women’s Voices is tremendous”- Lisa
My husband really liked the lower Altos, thought they sounded great.
I think everyone agreed that Moon Goddess was incredible.
Passing on compliments from my husband, Andrew, he really enjoyed hearing everything (from the front row!) but especially Summer and Bright Morning Stars – he said those two were his favorites. Gwen Hall (choral director friend) called and sang her praises regarding our expressive singing and lovely tone throughout. She loved all of our repertoire! Allan Friedman, former WVC AD, was also very complimentary of our tone, especially our unison singing.
I had the time of my life from beginning to end and am beyond grateful for the opportunity to conduct such wonderful musicians and even more wonderful humans.
Thank you to all for your many contributions to our successes – both the songs and the sisterhood of Women’s Voices Chorus.
Special thanks to all serving in leadership roles and to Deb, our fabulous accompanist.
Thanks to our guest musicians (Tim, Emily, Michele, and Kathleen) and to Amy for her beautiful playing.
Congratulations to all of our soloists – Brava!
I am already looking forward to starting our spring repertoire on January 30th and am busy planning our music for 2023-2024 (including our tour to Ireland!).
See you Monday!
Laura
