CONCERT WEEK! VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW – PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ CAREFULLY.
Due to space constraints, Laura has made a new seating chart for the tech rehearsals and the concert. Please check it to find your placement.

Reminder – please allow ample time to park and make your way to the church so you will be on the risers and ready to go on time. Enter the church through the back door (accessible from the parking lot behind the church)
Saturday, January 21st 1:30PM Call, 3PM Concert at UUMC
FYI – there is a Tar Heel Basketball game vs State at 5PM so please let your guests know that there may be more traffic than normal.

COVID Update – We will wear black masks for our performance on January 21st and ask that you please wear masks during our technical rehearsals. You are welcome to bring your own black mask or one will be provided. Soloists are welcome to remove their masks during their solo. We ask that you consider performing a COVID rapid test the morning of the concert as an extra precaution to help keep our community safe and healthy. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Stay healthy everyone!
Concert Special Needs – If you need a chair or a music stand for our upcoming concert, please let our Logistic Chair, Marsha Ferguson, know as soon as possible so the necessary arrangements can be made in advance of the technical rehearsals. If any of your guests require handicap parking, please let Marsha know that as well and she will try to reserve a parking space behind the church.
Concert Volunteers – We are in need of several volunteers. Please let Marsha know if you or one of your guests can help with any of these tasks (usher, box office, set-up and clean-up) and she will provide the details. Thanks in advance!
Concert Tickets – All unsold tickets and money are due next Monday, Jan 16. Please return your envelopes to Alison Mangin.
Concert Dress – Reminder that WVC Concert dress is all black, from collar to toe, including shoes and stockings:
Black tops (3/4 length sleeves or longer) – no beads, sequins, netting, lace, velvet, etc.
Black floor-length dress pants or skirts (no patterns, velvet, ruffles, or tiers).
Black opaque stockings/tights and black closed-toe shoes.
Seasonal scarves can be purchased for $10 or borrowed – Please see Rah
Black folders are available if needed – Sue Regier will bring these to the technical rehearsals.
Music Return – Nancy will be collecting music at the end of the concert (as usual, with piles in concert order set up in the green room or as nearby as possible). If you have music, but will not be attending the concert, please send your music with someone else or call Nancy to arrange to return your music.
Auditions – Auditions for next season will be held on February 2nd so if you have a friend who sings like a nightingale and is interested in joining us, please let them know the details (information on our website). So far, we have 6 singers interested in auditioning!
