I apologize for the late announcements. I was traveling today and experienced multiple flight delays. I hope everyone is looking forward to our concert tomorrow at Carolina Meadows! Please read the announcements below:
- Parking/Carpooling for Run Out Concert at Carolina Meadows (Monday, January 12): Carolina Meadows is located at 100 Whippoorwill Ln, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. This is about 15 minutes south of our regular rehearsal space at HTLC, so please budget extra time to get there if you are coming from the north. Please park in one of the areas designated in yellow on the following map. We will perform in the auditorium. The auditorium entrance is indicated in pink; just ask at the front desk if you are not sure where to go. Parking is somewhat limited; if you are worried about finding a spot, carpooling is an option: WVC Carpooling Map 2025-2026
- Accessible Seating & Parking for our Concert at First Presbyterian (January 25): Please send Kinley an email (kinley.russell@gmail.com) if any of your guests for our January 25th concert at First Presbyterian will need special accommodations. If you could, please let me know whether they will need reserved seating, accessible parking, or both. Please send me the names of all guests in the group and what they need. For example, “My elderly mom and dad (names) will need seating close to the front of the sanctuary because they use mobility assistance devices (walkers). They also need an accessible parking spot.” We typically have more guests who need accessible parking than marked spaces available, so we do our best to reserve additional nearby spots for those with accessibility needs.
- Volunteers Needed: Kinley is looking for 2 people (non-chorus members) to volunteer to be ushers for our concert. If you have a family member or friend willing to usher, please let Kinley know. Thanks in advance.
- Continuing Member Spring Registration: We are waiting to hear back from 25 members. Please take a moment to fill out the registration so we can get started on assembling the music folders for next semester https://forms.gle/SN8WvegfKFCFW4wNA. We’d appreciate your responses as soon as possible, but no later than January 19th. This will take you a matter of seconds to complete. Thank you!
- Important Dates for upcoming events: Please mark your calendars with dates and locations for upcoming rehearsals.
Monday, January 12, 2026: Tech Rehearsal at Carolina Meadows 100 Whippoorwill Lane, Chapel Hill, from 7-10 PM. Please arrive early and be ready to go in Concert Dress.
Monday, January 19, 2026: No rehearsal
Thursday, January 22, 2026: Tech Rehearsal at First Presbyterian Church 305 East Main Street, Durham from 7-10 PM
Sunday, January 25, 2026: Winter Concert at First Presbyterian Church; 1:30 Call 3PM C Concert
Monday, January 26, 2026: Listening Party at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 6:30-8:30PM
- Listening Party: Please sign up to bring something for the potluck using the Sign-up Genius Link here
- Concert Tickets: All ticket money and unsold tickets are due Monday, January 12. Tickets will be collected at Carolina Meadows by your membership chair. If you have additional questions, please contact Allison Mangin (allisonmangin@gmail.com).
- Concert Dress: Please arrive at Carolina Meadows wearing your concert dress. Remember to iron your scarves following the instructions provided. We will be wearing full concert dress for our mini-concert at Carolina Meadows on January 12th.
